Tamil Nadu: Vijay assures of "severe punishment" in minor girl's abduction, murder; DMK raises concern over women's safety
Coimbatore, May 23 -- Tamil Nadu Police arrested two accused of abducting and murdering a 10-year-old girl in Coimbatore. A call for "strict action" was echoed across party lines as Chief Minister Vijay and Leader of Opposition Udhayanidhi Stalin condemned the incident.
The 10-year-old girl, who had been missing since Thursday evening, was found dead in Tamil Nadu's Coimbatore on Friday. The two accused have been sent into judicial custody.
