Tiruppur, Oct. 3 -- Postal voting for police personnel began at the Dharapuram Revenue Divisional Officer's (RDO) office in Tamil Nadu's Tiruppur district on Saturday, ahead of the Dharapuram Assembly constituency by-election scheduled for October 6.

The postal voting process began at around 10 am and will continue until 5:30 pm. A total of 195 police personnel residing in the Dharapuram Assembly constituency are eligible to cast their votes through postal ballots, of whom 50 have cast their votes so far.

Police personnel from areas including Gundadam, Suriyanallur, Dharapuram town, Kondarasanpalayam and Vengipalayam are participating in the postal voting process.
