Gandhinagar, Aug. 31 -- The Gujarat government on Monday extended the deadline for fair price shop dealers to deposit challans for the distribution of sugar and other essential commodities under the Public Distribution System (PDS) for September 2026 till September 3, 2026, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Ramanbhai Solanki has said.

The minister said the state government has made advance arrangements to ensure that Antyodaya and BPL ration card holders have adequate access to sugar during the upcoming festive season.
