Victoria, June 27 -- In a vibrant display of affection, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was accorded a warm and enthusiastic welcome by members of the Indian diaspora upon his arrival at the hotel in Victoria, Seychelles.

The hotel reception capped a busy initial itinerary, as Prime Minister Modi and Seychelles President Patrick Herminie had earlier visited the National Botanical Garden of Seychelles in Victoria, shortly after the Prime Minister commenced his official State Visit to the archipelagic nation.

During the visit to the sanctuary, Prime Minister Modi was seen enthusiastically feeding large turtles, including the famed 194-year-old Jonathan, recognised as the world's oldest living land animal.
