Chandigarh, Aug. 30 -- Panjab University's (PU) Campus Students' Council (PUCSC) elections will be held on August 31, with security arrangements strengthened across the campus to ensure a peaceful polling process.

Security has been stepped up at the university, with checking being conducted at all three entry gates amid concerns over the movement of outsiders on the campus ahead of the elections.

Authorities have increased vigilance to maintain law and order during the election process. Security personnel have been deployed at key locations, and vehicles and visitors entering the campus are being checked.
