Hyderabad, Sept. 25 -- Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) spokesperson Ravula Sridhar on Friday welcomed the Supreme Court's decision upholding the disqualification of Telangana MLA Danam Nagender, calling the verdict a "slap" on the Congress for supporting a legislator who defected from the BRS.

Reacting to the Supreme Court verdict, Sridhar said, "BRS party welcomes the verdict of the Supreme Court. It's a slap on the Congress party for supporting an MLA who has defected from BRS to Congress and then contested the Parliament seat."
