New Delhi, Aug. 21 -- The Supreme Court has upheld the Rajasthan High Court's July 8, 2026 judgment in a long-standing seniority dispute involving School Lecturers appointed through the 2015 recruitment process, bringing relief to around 11,000 lecturers.

A bench of Justice KV Viswanathan and Justice Arun Palli dismissed a batch of Special Leave Petitions challenging the Rajasthan High Court judgment after hearing the parties at length.

The Supreme Court, after examining the records and the High Court's judgment, said it found "no good ground to interfere" with the impugned judgment and orders. The SLPs were accordingly dismissed.
