Sambhal Mosque Survey Case: SC reserves verdict on Masjid Committee's plea against survey
New Delhi, Sept. 25 -- The Supreme Court on Thursday reserved its judgement on a plea by the Sambhal Jama Masjid Committee challenging the survey of the mosque ordered by a trial court in a suit filed by Hindu plaintiffs claiming rights to perform religious ceremonies at the site.
A bench of Justices PS Narasimha and Alok Aradhe heard submissions from all the concerned parties and reserved its verdict in the plea.
The bench heard senior advocate Huzefa Ahmadi and Advocate Nizam Pasha for the mosque committee, advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain for the Hindu plaintiffs and Additional Solicitor General KM Nataraj for the Uttar Pradesh government.
