Sitapur, May 13 -- Unidentified men allegedly assaulted a liquour salesman and robbed him of cash worth Rs approxiamtety 40,000 to Rs 50,000 in Uttar Pradesh's Sitapur, police said

Additional Superintendent of Police (South), Durgesh Kumar Singh said that the alleged incident took place on Tuesday night at 10: 15 PM when the miscreants intercepted the victim who was travelling with a canteen workers on a motorcycle.

The assailants later opened the fire and fled the scene.
