Rudraprayag, July 3 -- The Rudraprayag administration has warned of strict action against horse and mule operators and porters found misbehaving with pilgrims during the ongoing Kedarnath Yatra, District Magistrate Vishal Mishra said on Friday.

Appealing to all horse and mule operators, owners and porters (hawkers), Mishra urged them to treat pilgrims with courtesy, dignity and respect and ensure that devotees have a safe and pleasant experience during the pilgrimage.

The District Magistrate said that while the yatra has largely been progressing smoothly, the administration had received complaints in a few instances regarding inappropriate behaviour by horse and mule operators and hawkers towards pilgrims.
