Chennai, Aug. 27 -- Tamil Nadu Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) officials conducted surprise inspections at various government offices across Tamil Nadu, including Block Development Offices, Sub-Registrar Offices, Panchayat Union Offices and Taluk Offices, following complaints of alleged corruption.

Chief Minister Joseph Vijay had reportedly instructed officials not to accept bribes and stressed the need for a corruption-free administration. He had also urged the public not to pay bribes and to lodge complaints if officials demanded money.
