New Delhi, Oct. 3 -- The Indian Parliamentary Delegation, led by the Deputy Chairman, Rajya Sabha, Harivansh, has departed for Arusha, United Republic of Tanzania, to participate in the 153rd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and related meetings being held from 5 to 9 October 2026.

As per the Rajya Sabha Secretariat, "The IPU Assembly will bring together parliamentarians from across the world for discussions on the theme "Enhancing good governance and empowering communities through inclusivity, trust and opportunities for all."
