New Delhi, Sept. 10 -- Retired IAS officer SCL Das has taken the oath as the new Chairman of the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC), with Delhi Power Minister Ashish Sood administering the oath of office and secrecy on Thursday.

The oath-taking ceremony was held at the minister's office in New Delhi.

Congratulating Das on his appointment, Sood said his long administrative experience would be valuable in strengthening Delhi's power sector. He also emphasised the Delhi government's focus on transparency, accountability and protecting the interests of electricity consumers.
