New Delhi, April 2 -- The Rail Coach Factory (RCF) in Kapurthala has manufactured its first 16-car Vande Bharat Chair Car rake, marking its entry into the league of units producing the country's flagship semi-high-speed trains. The rake, equipped with an advanced propulsion system supplied by Alstom, was completed on March 31.

The upgraded Vande Bharat trainset manufactured at RCF Kapurthala reflects Indian Railways' continued commitment towards innovation, passenger comfort, and world-class train manufacturing standards.
