Rapid Metro in Gurugram restored...situation under control, say officials
Gurugram, May 23 -- Rapid Metro services in Gurugram were fully restored late Friday night after a major power outage triggered by a fire at a 220 KV power station in Sector-72 disrupted electricity supply and temporarily halted metro operations across several parts of the city.
According to officials, the outage occurred after a fault in the main transformer at the 220 KV power station led to a fire, affecting the power supply in multiple areas.
Executive Engineer Anil Malik said the incident took place around 7:50 pm due to oil leakage in a current transformer.
