Dushanbe, Oct. 19 -- Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has arrived in the Tajik capital to represent India at the 25th Meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), scheduled for October 19-20.

Upon landing at the airport, Singh was accorded a ceremonial welcome and received by his Tajik counterpart, Emomali Sobirzoda, alongside Sherali Jonon, Head of the Asia Pacific Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan.

In a post on X, Singh stated, "Leaving New Delhi for Dushanbe. Looking forward to representing India at the SCO Heads of Government (HoG) meeting in Tajikistan on 19-20 October 2026."
