Rajkot, Feb. 23 -- In what is being described as one of the largest demolition drives in the history of Saurashtra, Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC), backed by the Gujarat Government, has launched a massive clearance operation in the Jangleshwar area along the Aji River.

The action began early morning on Monday (February 23) after the Gujarat High Court refused to grant interim protection to residents who had approached the court seeking a stay on demolition.
