Mumbai, Oct. 17 -- Veteran actor-politician Raj Babbar remembered his late wife and acclaimed actor Smita Patil on her 71st birth anniversary, recalling her exceptional talent, warmth and the lasting impact she left on Indian cinema.

Raj, on Saturday, shared a picture of Smita on his Instagram, paying tribute to the actor, who died in 1986 at the age of 31. Remembering her as an artist with "rare sensitivity," he spoke about how she brought a unique depth to every character she played.
