Kozhikode, March 31 -- Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday warned of a looming "financial earthquake" linking the ongoing tensions in West Asia to a potential spike in fuel prices and inflation that would be directly felt by the people of India in the coming months.
Addressing a gathering in Kozhikode today, Gandhi said that the unfolding situation in the Gulf region is a "tragedy" whose consequences remain uncertain, but cautioned that its ripple effects would directly affect people in Kerala and across India.
