New Delhi, Aug. 21 -- Congress leader and former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat on Friday accused Delhi Police of delaying the filing of an FIR over the complaint of the victim in the pellet gun injury case and said registering a case is the police's duty and every citizen's right if they have faced an atrocity.

Rawat told ANI that party leader Rahul Gandhi has taken "a solemn pledge to fight against injustice wherever it occurs".

"A young man is facing injustice and is trying to file an FIR. To the best of my knowledge, he has even gone to the station twice to do so, yet you are refusing to register the FIR.
