Patna, July 30 -- Independent MP from Purnea Rajesh Ranjan, popularly known as Pappu Yadav, has written to the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) of New Delhi, alleging that he and his family received death threats through his official website.

In his complaint, Pappu Yadav alleged that he was threatened with being shot and that his entire family would be wiped out.

The MP has demanded that an FIR be registered immediately in the matter and sought the identification and early arrest of those who allegedly sent the threats.

He has also sought enhanced security for himself and his family.
