Chandigarh, Aug. 23 -- Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has alleged that Punjab's politics is passing through a phase where a deep conflict appears to be emerging between power, stability and public interest.

Addressing a programme organised for representatives of the Valmiki and Sikh communities of Punjab at his residence here on Saturday, Saini also alleged that political instability in Punjab is increasing.

He said Punjab today needs a double-engine government that not only makes promises but also has the ability to fulfil them.
