New Delhi, July 22 -- Both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha witnessed several adjournments amid a deadlock between the Centre and the Opposition, as the INDIA bloc sought Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation and insisted on a discussion on the NEET-UG paper leak.

Opposition members, including DMK's Tiruchi Siva, demanded discussion under Rule 267, which entails suspension of specific rules related to listed business in the Rajya Sabha.

The government has stated that it is ready for debate, but the opposition members should not put new conditions.
