New Delhi, March 5 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi discussed concerns over the escalating situation in West Asia with French President Emmanuel Macron on Thursday.

In a post on X, the Prime Minister stated that the duo addressed the need for "dialogue and diplomacy" on the matter and expressed committment to shared coordination towards peace restoration in the region.

"Spoke with my friend President Emmanuel Macron today. We discussed our shared concerns over the evolving situation in West Asia and the need for a return to dialogue and diplomacy.
