New Delhi, June 21 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday conveyed his heartfelt condolences following the tragic ammonia gas leak at a seafood processing facility in Tamil Nadu's Thiruvallur district.

The incident, which has resulted in multiple casualties and numerous workers requiring urgent medical intervention.

The Office of the Prime Minister of India, in a post on X, wrote, "Deeply pained to hear about the loss of lives due to a mishap in Thiruvallur district of Tamil Nadu. My condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. Praying for the speedy recovery of the injured: PM @narendramodi."
