Melbourne, July 9 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday (local time) held a bilateral meeting with the Governor of Victoria, Margaret Gardner AC, at the Government House in Melbourne, the official residence of the Governor.

According to the official website of the Governor, Margaret Gardner AC is the 30th Governor of Victoria and the second woman to hold the office. Before her appointment in August 2023, she was the 9th and first woman President and Vice-Chancellor of Monash University from September 2014 until August 2023. Victoria is a state in southeastern Australia.
