People of Meghalaya embraced principles of sustainability long before it became global agenda: FM Sitharaman
Ri-Bhoi, June 19 -- Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Friday inaugurated Northeast India's largest organic spice processing unit at Ri-Bhoi district and said that the future of agriculture belongs to those who produce "not merely more, but better, cleaner, safer, more traceable and more sustainable products".
The Finance Minister inaugurated the facility in the presence of Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma and Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang.
