Los Angeles, March 16 -- Filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson won his first Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for the film 'One Battle After Another' and dedicated the honour to his children during an emotional speech at the Academy Awards 2026, according to Deadline.

Accepting the award, Anderson thanked author Thomas Pynchon, whose 1990 novel Vineland inspired the film, and acknowledged the support of his family.
