Patna, June 29 -- A massive fire that broke out at a warehouse under the Patna City Bypass police station area was brought under control after a 13-hour-long firefighting operation involving 27 fire engines, officials said on Monday.

Authorities added that the blaze is suspected to have been caused by an electrical short circuit, and the warehouse reportedly did not possess mandatory fire safety certification.

According to District Fire Officer Ritesh Pandey, the fire department received information about the incident at around 12:55 am, following which multiple fire tenders were immediately rushed to the site to control the rapidly spreading flames.
