Pakistan: Karachi Court orders Civil Hospital to pay PKR 6.5 million compensation to woman
Karachi, Aug. 11 -- A Karachi court has ordered Civil Hospital Karachi to pay PKR 6.5 million in compensation to a woman who suffered complications following an allegedly incorrect surgery at the hospital, ARY News reported.
The Senior Civil Judge (South) passed the order in a compensation case filed by Najma Rizwan against Civil Hospital Karachi and directed the hospital to pay the compensation of PKR 6.5 million within 60 days, according to the report.
As per ARY News, Rizwan was admitted to Civil Hospital Karachi on November 3, 2015, for the delivery of her child and underwent surgery. She was discharged on November 6.
