Angul, Aug. 22 -- An accidental explosion at the NTPC facility in Kaniha left five people injured, triggering immediate medical responses and district-level administrative oversight, District Magistrate Abdaal Akhtar said.

Talking to reporters, Angul District Magistrate Abdaal Akhtar highlighted the condition of the injured workers, noting that the more serious injuries are currently admitted to the hospital in Bhubaneswar.

He said, "In the incident, approximately five people were injured. Three of them sustained minor injuries and have been admitted to the local NTPC Kaniha Hospital.
