NIA arrests main conspirator Haris TA in Malappuram explosives seizure case; tenth arrest so far
New Delhi, Aug. 9 -- The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Sunday arrested another accused, identified as Haris TA, in connection with the seizure of a huge consignment of illegal explosives in Malappuram, Keralam, taking the total number of arrests in the case to ten.
Haris was arrested yesterday in Manjeri in Malappuram district. The accused, a main conspirator, was involved in the illegal procurement of the explosives seized in the case.
The case, registered as RC-01/2026/NIA/KOC, relates to the seizure of 89,600 explosive sticks and 10,500 shock tubes (NONEL) from a lorry parked in the compound of Farha Hollow Bricks Company on the Chemmad-Thalappara Road in Malappuram on February 7.
