Trishuli, Sept. 3 -- A makeshift zip line has restored connectivity between communities in flood-hit Trishuli after bridges were destroyed by floods, with Nepal Police assisting in its operation.

The temporary arrangement has provided a vital link for people stranded on the other side of the river following the destruction of bridges and road connectivity.

Local resident Muhammad Ameer Haq, who was stranded across the river for eight days, said the zip line helped him cross over despite initial fears.

"Did the zip line help you a lot?" Haq was asked. "Yes, it helped. We were afraid of the zip line," he said.
