Nuwakot, Aug. 30 -- The flash floods in Nepal have damaged major hydro projects and solar plants, with a solar plant on the banks of the Trishuli River in Nuwakot extensively buried under debris and large sections of the facility destroyed.

A large portion of the Nuwakot solar project has been buried under debris, while the remaining parts of the site provide evidence that a solar plant once existed there.

The floods have not only claimed human lives but have also caused extensive damage to major energy infrastructure across the affected areas.

When asked about the damage to the solar plant in the Trishuli area, Nepal Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle confirmed that such projects had suffered significant damage.
