Amarkantak, Aug. 11 -- Sixteen members of the Baiga tribal community participated in a 151-kilometre-long Kanwar Yatra led by BJP MLA Bhawna Bohra from Amarkantak to Bhoramdeo, with the number of devotees increasing to nearly 700 on the second day.

The 'Bol Bam Padayatra' began from Amarkantak after devotees collected water from the Narmada River. The pilgrims then proceeded towards Bhoramdeo Temple after offering prayers to Maa Narmada.

On the second day, the yatra commenced from Lamni village in the Achanakmar Sanctuary area. The number of devotees increased from around 500 on the first day to nearly 700.
