MP: 3 arrested for alleged cattle slaughter case in Bhopal; Hindu outfits stage protest
Bhopal, Oct. 9 -- Madhya Pradesh police have arrested three people after remains of cattle were allegedly found near a dairy located on the banks of a river in the Damkheda area of Kolar in Bhopal, an official said on Friday.
The incident triggered a protest by Hindu organisations, including Bajrang Dal workers, who demanded strict action against the accused and demolition of the dairy.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Alok Shrivastava said that the police initiated action under the Madhya Pradesh Cow Slaughter Prohibition Act after receiving information about cattle remains found near the river.
