New Delhi, Sept. 29 -- The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) on Tuesday launched the 'Suniyo 2.0 - One Plus Seven' property tax amnesty scheme for 2026-27, giving property owners an opportunity to clear their eligible tax dues without paying interest or penalties on the covered period.

The scheme will remain open from September 29 to December 31, 2026. Under the scheme, taxpayers will have to pay the principal amount of property tax for the current financial year 2026-27 and the previous seven financial years, from 2019-20 to 2025-26, according to the press release.
