New Delhi, Aug. 23 -- Delhi Police arrested an individual in connection with the alleged defacement of the Parliament Street Police Station wall with graffiti during Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi's protest on Friday, police sources said on Sunday.

An FIR was registered under the Delhi Prevention of Defacement of Property Act. The accused was identified and arrested with the help of CCTV footage.

Police sources said the individual was later granted bail as the offences mentioned in the FIR were bailable.

The graffiti was removed later by the police after Rahul Gandhi's protest seeking registration of an FIR over alleged police action against student protesters during a July 20 demonstration against NEET irregularities.
