Maharashtra to unveil dedicated chemical sector policy by October-end; plans up to 5,000-acre parks
Mumbai, Sept. 9 -- Maharashtra will introduce a dedicated Chemical Sector Policy by the end of October and is examining plans to develop chemical parks spread across 2,500 to 5,000 acres in Palghar, Raigad and Ratnagiri, a senior state government official said on Wednesday.
The state is also planning a Rs 1,000-crore Maharashtra Industries and Investment Fund to support research and development, technology readiness and innovation, according to an ASSOCHAM press release issued after MahaChem 2026 in Mumbai.
