Thane, May 16 -- Ulhasnagar Police have arrested two individuals in the alleged assault of women at Vitthal Wadi area after a video, purportedly showing women being beaten up, stripped semi-naked, hair chopped off, and paraded with garlands of slippers, went viral.

Ulhasnagar ACP Shailesh Kale on Saturday said that the conflict stemmed from a dispute between two families from the same community over entry into a temple. He further stated that the case has been registered against seven individuals, and two persons have been arrested so far.
