Ludhiana, May 23 -- Ludhiana Police has issued an alert following a surge in cyber fraud cases where scammers are using the name of 'Cockroach Janta Party', to siphon money from unsuspecting citizens using malicious links.

According to police officials, cybercriminals have adopted a new modus operandi by circulating malicious links across various social media and messaging platforms.

The scam involves sending a link under the guise of the "Cockroach Janta Party."

Once a victim clicks on the link, their mobile device is compromised, granting hackers access to sensitive banking details and leading to the immediate withdrawal of funds.
