Lucknow, May 23 -- Taking swift and stringent action against medical misconduct, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak ordered the immediate sealing of a private hospital in the Bakshi Ka Talab (BKT) area, following allegations that a doctor sexually assaulted a 12th-grade student inside the facility's Operation Theatre (OT).

Deputy CM Pathak, who also oversees the health portfolio, directed the Health Department to immediately suspend the medical license of the accused, Dr. Vijay Kumar Giri, and initiated procedures to confiscate his Ayurvedic medical degree.
