Anantnag, June 30 -- A large number of pilgrims gathered at the registration centre in Jammu on Monday as current registration and token distribution for the annual Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra got underway ahead of the commencement of the pilgrimage.

The first batch of pilgrims will be flagged off from the Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas base camp in Jammu on July 2, while the pilgrimage from the Baltal and Pahalgam base camps is scheduled to begin on July 3.

The administration has made extensive arrangements for current registration at the Jammu Tawi Riverfront, where devotees have started arriving to obtain tokens and complete registration formalities.
