Kolkata, April 1 -- Authorities imposed Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) to prevent further clashes between BJP and TMC workers outside the Election Commission office in Kolkata, a police officer said.

DC (Central Division) Shrikant Jagannathrao told ANI that the situation is under control, and increased deployment of CAPF and local police is underway.

This follows allegations of mass submissions of Form 6 by BJP workers, which TMC claims is an attempt to manipulate voter lists.
