Gothuruth, Sept. 7 -- Keralam's traditional boat racing culture was celebrated with a spirit of competition and high energy in a day-long event featuring a boat race and a tug-of-war event at the scenic and historic Gothuruth in North Paravur.

The event was organised by Red Bull, as they held the second season of Red Bull Vallam Vali. Red Bull Vallam Vali features two disciplines, the Chundan Vallam Row Off and the Churulan Vallam. In both categories Punnamada Panthers and Vembanad Vikings reached the finals, with Punnamada Panthers eventually winning both titles, as per a press release.
