Keralam Assembly: LDF walks out, alleges Govt failed to release relief for fisherfolk affected by trawling ban
Keralam, June 30 -- The Opposition Left Democratic Front (LDF) walked out of the Keralam Legislative Assembly on Tuesday after the Speaker disallowed an adjournment motion seeking a discussion on delays in extending financial assistance to fisherfolk during the annual trawling ban period.
The House witnessed noisy scenes after Opposition Leader Pinarayi Vijayan remarked that the manner in which Forest Minister Shibu Baby John intervened while Fisheries Minister V E Abdul Gafoor was replying to the motion gave the impression that the latter was incapable of answering the issue.
