Malappuram, Aug. 30 -- Police have seized contraband worth over Rs 10 crore in Malappuram under Operation Thoofan, an anti-narcotics project being implemented across the state.

Speaking to ANI, Inspector General (IG) Putta Vimaladitya said that the operation is nearing the completion of three months and has so far resulted in 10,500 arrests.

He also said that authorities have seized more than 21 kg of MDMA and 1,100 kg of ganja, besides destroying plants grown at various locations.
