Thiruvananthapuram, Aug. 17 -- The family of Ansiji, a 21-year-old nursing student from Neyyattinkara, has demanded an RDO (Revenue Divisional Officer)-supervised inquest into her death at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital.

Ansiji allegedly died by suicide after jumping from the third floor of a private nursing college building in Karungal, Tamil Nadu, on Friday.

Locals and family members stopped Colachel Police officials from Tamil Nadu who arrived at the hospital to conduct the inquest outside the mortuary.

Kannan, a neighbour of Ansiji, said the family had been at Karungal Police Station in Tamil Nadu until Sunday evening and was informed that the RDO would conduct the inquest on Monday.
