Malappuram, Aug. 14 -- The Congress on Friday held a protest march in Malappuram as part of the nationwide agitation called by the All India Congress Committee (AICC), demanding an apology from the Sangh Parivar over the alleged insult to AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge in Haldwani, Uttarakhand.

AICC general secretary K C Venugopal inaugurated the protest march in Malappuram. The march began from the Malappuram Collectorate premises and concluded at the Malappuram District Congress Committee (DCC) office.

Senior Congress leaders, including ministers, and a large number of party workers participated in the protest.
