Kannur, Feb. 27 -- Kerala Health Minister Veena George was discharged from Kannur Government Medical College Hospital, Pariyaram, on Friday, after undergoing treatment for injuries allegedly sustained during a black flag protest by Kerala Students Union (KSU) activists at Kannur railway station earlier this week.
According to sources, the Minister left Kannur around 4 a.m. in an official vehicle and returned to Thiruvananthapuram, where she will continue further treatment.
Veena George had reportedly suffered injuries to her neck and hand during the KSU black flag protest held at the Kannur Railway Station on February 25.
